Pat Warren's Story

Pat attended Chaminade College of Honolulu, and received a BS in education. After teaching school for four years, she had three children and while her children were young she decided not to go back to teaching right away. In the meantime, Pat began modeling for various clothing stores in Portland, including Lipmans, Meier and Frank, Nordstrom, Charles F. Berg, The Mercantile, I. Magnin, etc. She also did some modeling for local manufacturers such as Jantzen, Pendleton and White Stag.

It was modeling that got her involved with make up artistry. In 1976, fashion ads started to appear with photographs of models rather than line drawings. The photographer who did the ads for Meier and Frank - a local department store - realized that the makeup that models were used to wearing for runway work would not do for the camera - so he suggested that Pat go and learn all she could about photo makeup. Pat began doing make up for the models for the photo shoots and soon she was in demand. Pat was still modeling when she decided to go public with her skills,as Faces Unlimited. Soon after starting her business, she was invited to appear on AMNW - a local talk show - with Margie Boule and Jim Bosley. Pat has returned as a featured beauty expert many times since. Pat started noticing the skin on her clients when she began doing make up - it was often dry on the surface - so powder caked and the makeup looked pasty. Intrigued, she began to investigate skincare. At about the same time she started having problems with her own skin. Her blusher would not go on as smoothly as she wanted it to - so Pat went on a search to discover what would work for her.
She tried just about everything there was to try. Then one day, a client mentioned a skincare line from Paris called Payot. She told Pat how wonderful it was. After some research Pat discovered where to obtain Payot. She studied with Payot and became educated about skincare. Thus began Pat Warren's quest for more information about skin in general and so began her love affair with French cosmetics. Skincare is now a passion - she has studied with the Payot Insitute of Paris, Phytomer, Decleor, Matis and the Clarins Insitute. Pat studied at the Make-Up Center of New York in 1971 - learning all about make up techniques, specifically: make up for photography. Faces Unlimited recently became a member of Intercoiffure. Curiosity and a quest for the most beneficial skin care products is what drives Faces Unlimited to the forefront of skincare. We focus on the demands and needs of our clients.
